Wyle will return alongside Patrick Ball as Dr. Langdon, Katherine LaNasa as Dana Evans, Fiona Dourif as Dr. McKay, Taylor Dearden as Dr. King, Isa Briones as Dr. Santos, Gerran Howell as Dr. Whitaker, Shabana Azeez as Javadi, Ayesha Harris as Dr. Ellis, Sepideh Moafi as Dr. Al-Hashimi, and Shawn Hatosy as Dr. Abbot.
The new season will continue the series’ realistic look at the challenges facing healthcare workers in modern America. Set in a Pittsburgh hospital, The Pitt follows frontline medical professionals as they deal with demanding cases, personal struggles, and the intense pressures of working in emergency medicine.
Season 3 will take place on November 12, 2026, one day after Veterans Day and several weeks before Thanksgiving, providing a new setting and timeline for the next chapter of the series.
The upcoming season is also expanding its recurring cast. Seven new actors have joined the series, including Stephen Chang, Barry Clifton, Chris Diamantopoulos, Lawrence Kao, Brent Sexton, JB Tadena, and Hannah Ware.
Wyle previously offered a glimpse at what viewers can expect from Season 3, suggesting that the storyline will explore the personal experiences of doctors and the impact of receiving care themselves.
“This is about doctors benefiting from being patients,” Wyle told Deadline. He also teased that Robby has begun a therapeutic journey that has produced positive results, although his progress remains “fragile” and comes with its own risks and vulnerabilities.
R. Scott Gemmill created The Pitt and serves as an executive producer alongside John Wells, Wyle, Michael Hissrich, Erin Jontow, Joe Sachs, Simran Baidwan, and Eli Attie.
