Earlier this month, Ray J was rushed to a hospital in Las Vegas on Jan. 6 to receive treatment for pneumonia and heart pain, according to reports. In a Jan. 25 Instagram post, Ray J said he “almost died” during the ordeal but credited prayers and support from fans, friends, and family for helping him survive.

“I was in the hospital. My heart’s only beating like 25 percent,” Ray J said in the video. “But as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, everything will be alright. So thank you for all your prayers.”
He added that his health is still “not okay,” but expressed gratitude to his loved ones, specifically thanking his mother, sister Brandy, and father for standing by him.
In a separate livestream later reposted online, Ray J claimed his medical team told him he has only months to live.
He said “2027 is definitely a wrap for me.”
. When a friend questioned the statement, Ray J insisted, “That’s what the doctor said.
The reality star went on to explain that his heart had been severely damaged, pointing to the right side of his chest and saying it had been significantly affected. He took responsibility for his condition, admitting years of heavy substance use contributed to his declining health.
Ray J said he had been drinking “four or five bottles a day” and taking large amounts of Adderall, believing he was “indestructible.” “I couldn’t handle it,” he admitted. “It curbed my time here. Take care of yourselves.”
In another clip, Ray J said he had made peace with the possibility that his days may be limited, sharing that he has ensured his estranged ex-wife, Princess Love, and their two children will be financially secure. “My kidsare gonna be straight,” he said. “I did my part.”
Still, he reflected with regret, saying he pushed himself too far and urging others to learn from his experience.
