Tv Actor Kirk Medas, known for his role on MTV’s Floribama Shore, has tragically passed away at the age of 33. His family confirmed the heartbreaking news on May 2, revealing that the reality star succumbed to a serious illness after being hospitalized.

“I felt something in my heart before I even got the call,” she wrote. “A dolphin kept surfacing near me, and I instantly thought of Kirk. We both shared a special love for dolphins and the ocean. In that moment, I knew he was saying goodbye.”
Although devastated, Hall expressed comfort in knowing that Medas was no longer suffering. “He’s at peace now, whole and free, lighting up heaven with his laughter,” she added. “Kirk had an incredibly kind heart, and he touched the lives of so many. He truly was the bond that brought us all together.”
Medas first rose to fame in 2017 as a core cast member of Floribama Shore, a reality TV series that followed a group of friends living together on the Gulf Coast. The show ran for four seasons and was inspired by MTV’s original Jersey Shore.
Prior to his passing, his family had created a GoFundMe campaign, revealing that Kirk was battling necrotizing pancreatitis—a rare and severe condition that leads to inflammation and tissue damage in the pancreas.
As Medas fought for his life in the ICU, fellow cast member Nilsa Prowant publicly called for support through the fundraising page. Speaking through a TikTok video on May 1, Prowant shared how deeply the experience had affected her.
“This has been one of the hardest things I’ve faced,” she said. “Watching someone I love like a brother go through this has been devastating. Kirk has been a constant presence in my life for the past eight years.”
Medas will be remembered not only for his presence on television but also for the love and joy he brought to those around him
