Hollywood’s Biggest Action Star, Alan Ritchson, has confirmed that he’s in active discussions with DC Studios about joining the new DCU. but not in the way you might expect.
While the actor has long been fan-cast for the role of Batman, Ritchson made it clear that he’s aiming for something darker and more complex.
What Alan Ritchson Exactly Said about “Messier”?
“The conversation I’ve been having with them is like, ‘I want to play somebody a little messier,’”
He told THNEWS. “I want to play somebody a little dirtier than your typical clean-cut protagonist.”
Ritchson, best known for his work in Amazon’s Reacher and his previous turns in DC adaptations, as Aquaman on Smallville and Hawk on Titans, stressed that this time he’s looking to step off the conventional hero track. He noted he’s spoken with DC Studios about the kind of personality and role he wants and believes now is the moment for characters with more edge and moral ambiguity.

Although no specific character or project has been announced yet, industry insiders see this as a clear sign Ritchson may be lined up for a major anti-hero or villain role in the upcoming DC slate. Fans are now speculating wildly: Could he be cast as someone like Bane, Deathstroke, or another morally grey powerhouse?
