Terence Stamp : Veteran British actor Terence Stamp, widely recognized for his unforgettable portrayal of General Zod in Superman (1978) and Superman II (1980), has passed away at the age of 87.
Stamp’s family confirmed his death on Sunday morning in a statement to Reuters but did not disclose the cause.

Terence Stamp was known for His Talented Acting
Over the course of his distinguished career, Stamp earned critical acclaim, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 1962 for his performance in Billy Budd.
Yet it was his role as the menacing Kryptonian villain opposite Christopher Reeve’s Superman that left an enduring mark on pop culture.
As General Zod, Stamp brought a commanding presence to the screen, embodying the exiled Kryptonian military leader who escapes the Phantom Zone and challenges the Man of Steel.
Though the role earned no major awards, it cemented Stamp’s place in cinematic history and in the hearts of superhero fans worldwide.
