Hamdan Balal, the Palestinian co-director of the Oscar-winning documentary ‘No Other Land‘, was attacked by Jewish settlers in the West Bank and arrested on Monday evening, activists gave this information.
An activist present at the spot said that Hamdan Balal was beaten up by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank, after which the Israeli army took him into custody.
The ‘Center for Jewish Non-Violence’ said that dozens of settlers attacked the village of Susiya in the Masafer Yatta region and damaged property.
Activists said that Israeli settlers attacked Hamdan Balal, causing his head to bleed. While he was being treated in the ambulance, soldiers arrested him and another Palestinian man. Their whereabouts are currently unknown.
