Hollywood Ambassadors: President-elect Donald Trump announced on January 16, 2025, via Truth Social that he has appointed the three actors as “special ambassadors” to Hollywood, a place he described as “very troubled.”

Donald Trump expressed his belief that Hollywood has lost significant business to foreign countries over the past four years, and he tasked the three actors with helping to bring the industry “back—bigger, better, and stronger than ever before.

Trump emphasized that Voight, Gibson, and Stallone would act as his “eyes and ears” in Hollywood, with their suggestions guiding his efforts to restore the industry to its former glory, akin to the “Golden Age of Hollywood.”
All new Ambassadors (Mel Gibson, Jon Voight and Sylvester Stallone) was supporter of Trumps in Elections
Jon Voight (86), Mel Gibson (69), and Sylvester Stallone (78) all publicly supported Trump during the 2025 election, in which he was re-elected, defeating Vice President Kamala Harris. While Voight and Stallone have yet to comment on their new roles, Gibson shared his reaction in a January 16.
He explained that he learned of his appointment alongside the public, but he expressed his willingness to serve. “I heed the call,” he said, adding a lighthearted remark: “Any chance the position comes with an Ambassador’s residence?”
However, one family member will not be joining Trump’s administration during his second term: Ivanka Trump.
In an interview on the Skinny Confidential podcast on January 13, Ivanka revealed that she would not return to a political role, citing the toll her previous service as Senior Advisor had on her family life.
“I know the cost, and it’s a price that I’m not willing to make my kids bear,” she added
Ivanka, who shares three children with her husband Jared Kushner, explained that she was focused on family life and was not interested in returning to politics. She also noted the “darkness” of the political world, which she did not want to re-enter.
Ivanka’s decision contrasts with that of her father, Donald Trump, and siblings who continue to support his political efforts. Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s children, including his sons Donald Jr. and Eric, have continued to play significant roles in his businesses and political campaigns.
